Say what?

So well, I’ve been in my new job 2 weeks now and it’s going fine! Loving learning and doing work. I’ve got my 206 company car now and it’s ok, but too small for my long legs! I get knee ache from driving the damn thing but I can hardly tell work to change my car can I!

I’ve bought loads of shirts and a leather jacket for work I look much more professional I feel. It makes me feel a bit better when out and about rather than looking like I bought my clothes from the charity shop.

I’m buying a new head unit and speaker system for my car though even though I’ll be left with no money afterwards hehe.

Hello Live Journal!

I am well! Work is good, I’m really enjoying it at the moment, I’m doing things and that!

I got my company car the other day, its ok.. it’s free I cant really moan! But sadly it does mean I get rid of my lovely 306 :(

Stuff at home is still awkward as ever but It’ll be over soon enough.. meh.

I’m looking forward to a weekend of booze and weed as Steve’s been away this week working out of town so we have some catching up to do on the old getting wankered front of things!

Works putting on a seminar tomorrow so I have to be all perky and greet people at the door :o best get some sleep and some of my pro plus on the go once I wake I suppose!

I bought a £130 leather jacket today. Yes it’s a lot of money for a jacket but I fell in love with it when I saw it in River Island. It looks good with my work shirts and stuff *sexy Dave*.

Hmm, no new photos or any major news for you kids. Life has been pretty boring to be honest, well private life has anyways, my job is great!

I smell of Calvin Klein Crave aftershave as I also bought some of that today, its tres good! Oui!

Hmm, I don’t feel so good today. I don’t know why as Last night was pretty cool. I went to Rileys to play pool and drink beer with Ali Steve and Aaron. Bash turned up at my house at about 1am from spiders, he was wankered it was quite funny to see him manage to open my door with four cups of tea in his hands hehe *spillage*.

It’s annoying when I don’t know what music I want to listen to. There’s too much to chose from and I don’t like it. Today I’ve opted for Infected Mushroom and their just flawless.

The situation at home is pissing me off more than ever. I hate being stuck in the middle of problems. I always seem to be in that position though so why aren’t I used to it by now!?

The house goes up for sale shortly.. whoop de fucking shit. I really don’t want to move.

I start back at my old job at Golding Computer Services on Monday which should be good. I’m quite looking forward to it. It’ll be weird going back though I know that for sure!

I’m well short on cash this month it’s a right pain in the rear. I’ll have to stay in and play computer games for a week or two until I get paid hehe.

I’ve got to go do a guvvy job now at someone’s house. I’m not in the right frame of mind at all but I suppose I’ll get paid for it so meh.. Whatever!

Work today has mostly consisted of me doing my homework on music. I’ve been a bit bored with the music I’ve been listening to recently so I took a visit to planet-mu.com to see what treats I could find!

Oh there are some gems on there, just the other week I noticed a new Hellfish album had been released so I grabbed that. My word what a masterpiece of dirty kicks and badass samples! It’s ‘called One Man Sonic Attack Force’.

Then we have Vex’d’ who I’d read about on a music forum. I thought I’d check these guys out too, their also on Planet Mu!
I’ve had this album since Monday and by god it’s brilliant! It’s all I’ve been playing in my car. The best word to describe them would be grimey! Oh and the bass ohhhh!!!

Last but not least we have Exile which I stumbled across on the Plant Mu website. I’d heard of this guy before but never listened to any of his material. The guys a genius! His DnB sounds fresh yet original and grimey. Plenty of lovely dirty bass for good measure too – check him out!

Also I found DJ Scotch Egg’s music video for Scotch Chicken! All I have to say is for fuck sake that’s some funny shit! Check it on djscotchegg.com!

I’ve found some other drabs of music here and there but those are the finds worth mentioning.

As you can see from my post so far I’ve been bored at work. It’s just a case of waiting until Friday when I leave now. I start back at my old place of work on Monday, which should be good but weird!

I might take a swift walk to the shop now and buy a Wonka bar I feel like some chocolate hehe.

I might be going to benidorm with my dad and his friend in December, he’s just looking at prices. When I know how much it will cost I can say oui or non I guess.

Things between my parents are still awkward. I feel sorry for my mum, she’s looking for somewhere to live at the moment and it sucks balls <_< I’m off to shop, byes!

Hey just a quick update!

I got to Cyprus ok. The flight was a little boring but nothing to moan about.

The weather here is lovely, arund 30 - 35 degrees C so i'm nice and toastie!

I'm loving this all inclusive lark, beer beer beer food beeeeeer.. and so on!

Today being my first day here I just sat around the pool reading my book and catching the rays, had a little swim in the nice pool too.

Tonight i've mainly been sat on my own as al my family are knackered from the travelling, some how I'm not so i've been sat drinking on my own for a few hours and looking at the stars and stray cats!

I'm missing my dad like crazy, it's insane going on a family holiday without him. I'm trying not to let it get me down but it's just making me grumpy all the time, oh well.

Tomorrow we'll be taking a trip into the town centre to look at whats going down in the hood. I've already got plenty of pressies for my friends in mind, should be a laugh giving them to ya'll.

Well it's 11pm here and I havent slept for two days so i'm going to go to bed now I think.

The grand thing is that the hotel has internet access (at 25p for 10 minutes omfg) so i'll be back tomorrow to post more shit no doubt!

Well a quick Leeds festival verdict.

Hot Chip – Very interesting to watch them play, five or so guys with various weird instruments all clattering together to make a rather interesting sound. Not the best I saw but not the worst that’s for sure!

VHS or Beta – One of my favourite acts at the festival! The easiest way to describe them without putting you off is that they sound like a more modern Cure, mainly because of the singer’s voice. They have a very funky energetic sound to them, I’ve just got the album and now I cant stop playing it!

Buck 65 – Oh yes! Good old Buck! I finally got to see this chap in action. With the hand/body actions as he sings, the incorporation of scratching into his songs, the crazy stories he told and his rather stunning hat.
He got a jack plug off his mixer and got feedback off it every time he touched his turntable, thus playing a crazy tune with the feedback! That was the highlight for me for sure.

Four Tet – To be completely honest I didn’t know what to expect from this guy live. Once he’d got into full swing I was jumping up and down to his crazy wish wash of sound. He appeared to make all of the music manually too which would take a lot giving the complexity! I get to see this chap again when I go to see Explosions In The Sky in November so I’m really looking forward to that!

Mylo – These guys were ok I suppose. They were one of those acts where all the sounds had the same basic sound so I got bored and left after two songs. They were good at what they did though heh.

DJ Format feat Abdominal & D-Sissive – I saw these guys last year at Leeds and they were good then, and their even better now in my opinion. Full of energy and laughs, some of the beats Format laid down seemed a bit drab but the MC’s recovered the songs with their ‘phat skillz’ and the likes.

Kano – Now this guy was a joke, he reminded me of Dizzee Rascal in the fact his garage beats had phat raspy bass but that’s about it. None of the rappers on the stage were in time, the lyrics were poor and they dressed like fucking clowns. No good live at all thanks very much!

Audio Bullys – I was really looking forward to this act but I was a little disappointed as soon as that southern fairy opened his trap. The mic was far too loud thus drowning out the beats and making it crap. The guy who was rapping/singing kept jumping form one song to the next, as if he was getting muddled up with the lyrics. Once the EQ problem with the sound was corrected though it wasn’t all that bad, played the usual Audio Bully songs you’d expect.

Lemon Jelly – Dear fucking god, if I could see these guys play every week then I’d be the happiest guy alive! What a show! They were by far the best act I saw all weekend, they were so full of energy and joy bouncing around the stage and the likes! They played all of the best songs they’ve made practically, The Staunton Lick was pretty sweet live as you could see him playing his acoustic guitar hehe. They had visuals to go with their songs too, on three different screens around the tent. Oh I can still envisage Nice Weather For Ducks being played with all those fantastic visuals swooshing around the screen *big grin*.

So that’s all the acts I saw that were worth a mention (or maybe not), the actual camping part of the festival I didn’t really enjoy all that much to be honest. I wish Ali could have been there that’s for sure. The rioting was pointless on the Sunday night too, bunch of noobs if you ask me.

Anyways that’s Leeds really.

Last night I went and met my half brother Paul. I’ve only met him once before so it was a bit weird. We went to pub and had a good chat, he’s quite a lot like me considering we don’t know each other haha. It’s just a shame that I most probably won’t get to see him again for years to come :(

I go to Cyprus tonight after going to Welly club, it’s Shinobi too I think Simon Bassline Smith is playing.
I wont be drinking I know that much, a minibus at 3am Saturday morning then a 4 hour plane journey wouldn’t really be helped by alcohol intoxication would it!

Sunday was a lazy day but my Stevey boy was home from America so it was a glorious day indeed!

Roll on Thursday, where the watery mud bath will begin.

Well this weekend has been quite rockin’ one would say!

Friday I was pretty much stressed out with everything and anything, left work early as I plain couldn’t be arsed.

I decided to go to Ali’s after getting a black sun strip fitted to my car it looks pretty neat, shame I’ve got a fucking flat tyre though aint it!

As I say went to Ali’s and watched Scarface had a few bevies and chilled out. Went on home with the lads, stayed up a while with Phil then just went to bed.

Saturday was the best day I’ve had in a long, long time. 100% pure gold.

Saw relatives and cleaned car during the day. I booked a table at a Chinese restaurant for Ash’s birthday.

I, Ali, Ash, Bash, Chris and Phil went down bev road for a few beers then onwards to the Chinese at 9.

We had such a laugh but I have no idea how we didn’t get kicked out or told to pipe down at least it was well crazy! Beer beer beer food food food!!!111

We then got a taxi to spiders where we proceeded to drink further amounts of alcohol. I’ve not been so drunk in since, well lets say a long frickin’ time! Tequila is the key to drunkenness when it comes to me I feel.

We were roudy, offensive twats all night and I fucking loved it! Best we not go back next week though haha.

When we got home I and Phil stayed up drinking Vodka shots and beer until 6am. We knew it was time to sleep when A. It was light ouside and B. I couldn’t sit never mind stand up.

I miss Steve loads already and he’s only been gone in America for 2 days haha! That’s brotherly love for you I suppose.

Today we all went to Aaron’s house for a BBQ, it was brilliant to see Aaron properly as we aint seen him in ages and the food was tip top!

I’ve been playing typing of the dead with Chris tonight, oh my word its such a legend of a game haha!

I’ve been playing a new game demo recently called F.E.A.R too, its the best game play/graphics since half-life without a doubt, so check it out all you game lovers!

I bought the new Pendulum album on Friday as it was due a purchase. They deserve £9.99 out of my wallet for such a superb album! It’s called Hold Your Colour and if you aint heard it yet, go buy it NOW its fucking mental!

Right well that’s about it for now, I’ve run out of shit to chat!

Bash got his photos developed from the trip up north. Ahh that’s a beauty!

Last night was pretty fun. It was Steven’s 20th birthday (old cunt) so we all wandered down to le pub.
Ali managed to fall over backwards off his chair and spill half of my cider on a guy sat near us, he wasn’t happy hehe.
For some stupid reason I and Ali ended up drinking Tequila slammers.. never again on a week night I tells you! I felt like dog shit this morning and it sucked major arse.

For some reason Ali and Steve abseiled off Ali’s flat wall down into the street? With proper rope and everything haha, his neighbours weren’t happy they stood eviling us for a bit while we waved and laughed at them.

I’ve also decided crispy bacon from Asda is the best food ever!

Well I’ve finished reading “His Dark Materials”.

Work has been slow today. I’m not doing much at all.

Things at home are getting ever more complicated, always good fun.

Well Ash’s set went down a treat in Glasgow! All the other acts who played to were really good so it was a very enjoyable night.
I’m so pleased for Ash as he’s had it hard trying to get this far and he played a right banger of a live set, got offered to play with Scotch Egg too so.. well yeah w1n!

I was a bit worried at first though as 20 minutes before he was going to play he twisted his ankle on a small set of stairs. He couldn’t walk on it so they put some support and ice on it until it was time for him to go on.. he still played and danced like a trooper so even more props to him for that!

I would write on and on about Glasgow but the gig was definitely the highlight so yeah that’ll do for now about that.

Earlier this week I was forced to have my picture taken at work so that it can be put in the local business news paper.. I look rough as owt, not good.

Its so cheesy and just plain bad, ah well at least its not in the main paper!

Tonight is going to consist of many spliffs, fruity loops & cider. I’m really enjoying making music again, I’m still finding what I want to make but I think I’ve got a rough idea now. It’s not hardcore by the way!

Anyways I’m going to read some more of the Amber Spy Glass, I stopped reading it for a bit as I kinda forgot about it but I read loads on the train. I cant get enough of it now jeebus its so damn good!

The usual weekend really. Nothing exciting happened apart from Steve, Ant and I went to Asda on Friday night, it was fun!

Met someone on my travels today, got that weird feeling when you meet someone and you instantly decide that you love them haha. Won’t be talking to that person again though, so I best forget it quick!

Bought mine and Ash’s Glasgow train tickets too! It’s gonna be a funny little trip, we go Wednesday and stay the night then go home :(

Work today has been cool, not too busy but not too quiet. Everyone seems in a good mood in the office too so it helps my mood. It’s all good.

Going back to Woody’s again tonight I was there last night y’see, staying away form home for a few days is doing me good.

Last night was cool. Steve came round and we spent the night chatting, listening to music, eating too much chocolate and watching some films. It was cool to spend some time with Steve alone. It’s not very often our group of friends spend time in pairs were usually in a group.

Thing’s are getting complicated now. People in the family are pissing me off. This was bound to happen.

I’m learning Fruity Loops again as I may of mentioned.. It’s very hard work when you don’t know what everything does and the technique of certain things is hard to grasp. I’m enjoying it though. It’ll be ok when I know everything.

A lot of people seem to be having their own troubles at the moment it’s a really weird time of the year. Must be the climates changing or some bullshit like that ^_^

Anyways, I’m going to go now, and look at even more useless shit on the internet..

This weekends been pretty nice. I also managed to avoid going to spiders!

On Friday night I stayed in with Ash and Phil. We just got really stoned and pratted about with music. Speaking of music I feel I’m going to have to buckle down and learn fruity loops properly.

I woke up late on Saturday morning as I was meant to be out the house by 8:45 to get a lift off my friend to go and look at a gaming LAN. Got up in the end got a lift there in the fastest car I’ve ever been in. period. A 400 bhp Supra, modified to fuck. It really makes me want a nice car but they cost far too much. When he put his foot down I sank into the seat hehe.

Anyways moving swiftly away from cars. Saturday night I, Phil and Bash went round old town for a bit with all of my computer game buddies (100% geek). Was a good night though.

Went home, took drugs passed out. Woke up fully clothed. Sunday consisted of going to the beach and having a Chinese meal! I and Steve went swimming in the mucky sea but it was still good fun hehehehe! I think were gonna go camping there next time! Later on I Bash and Ash went to China Red for a very nice but costly £££ meal.

So here I am Monday morning blues. It sucks nads. I seriously need to sort my life out but now I fucking cant because I have to wait for other problems to be sorted out first. Which quite frankly I’m starting to kind of not care what happens. Life is one big shit arse game so I’m just not going to bother playing.

I’ll just coast along and be boring Dave for the time being.

On a lighter note: Ash played his gig at the Ringside. It was one hell of a hectic night. An hour before he was meant to set off his software he plays his tunes on fucked up so we were rushing about trying to sort that.
We got there on time, then it was decided that he would headline so we had to wait until 10pm to see him play. Once it all got going it was so much fun, but the room was far too hot.
He played some reet bangers and everyone loved it despite some technical problems and the shit venue.

Anyways yeah I’m not very good at writing up gigs but it was great anyways and I’m glad it all worked out as he’s worked so hard for it.

Why is it when something great happens it never seems to last. Being lead on by people just pisses me off.

I need a room with a big lock and key. So I can lock myself in and just listen to Hardcore day upon day until my brain turns to mush. I’d like that very much.

Hmm. This weekend was interesting anyways:

Friday got wankered with Bash and Ash, made some stupid live sets.

Saturday got wankered and went to a house party with Woody.

Sunday argued with the neighbours because their twats then got wankered and watched some films.

Monday stomach of doom is in effect, damn Chinese last night must of started it off.

I’m pretty happy at the moment.

Still doing the same old stuff really, nothings changed. Still drinking/smoking/swearing too much. Still hanging around with the lads and being complete idiots.

The weathers really improved my mood too! I can go out driving with my windows down and my music up now! I love summer.

I met someone on Saturday night too which was cool, gonna see her next week or something so we’ll see how that goes. I’m in no rush at all, it all seems so weird.

I downloaded a Plump DJ’s album last night and now I can’t get enough! If any of you get the chance grab some stuff by them, their kinda break beat/danceish! Gets me bopping away every time!

Anyways I’m going to go make a cup of tea and ponder what mp3 to use as my mobile phone ring tone, yes I’m bored at work again!
